Playing Baseball Highlights: 2045 is like watching TV highlights of mid 21st century baseball games, with heavily thematic gameplay, no outs or innings, and without bogging down in a play by play baseball simulation. In this quick and interactive game, two players build their teams as they play, combining both strategy (building a team) and tactics (playing the game) without any downtime.

During each mini game (typically 10 minutes or less), each player alternates playing six cards to simulate a full game's highlights. The mini game includes defensive and offensive actions, and a single card play may include elements of defensive and offensive plays.

Do players try to thwart an opponent's pending hits, put up a strong offensive action of their own, or use their better players to do both? Players buy new free agents after each mini game to improve their roster, and the team that wins the most mini games in the series is the champ.

The latest release of Baseball Highlights: 2045, the Bases Loaded Edition, includes a comprehensive assortment of unique starting teams, all previously issued expansions and promo cards, and a brand new 15 card All Star Expansion.
