Most members of this reclusive and rare folk prefer to dwell in subtropical and hot arid climates, but they are becoming more common in northern climates. Raptorkin in the north resemble eagles, hawks, and ospreys, while in southern regions they are known as "pojaroka" and resemble vultures or parrots, with richly colored plumage. While flying, they are adept at using their spears, blades, and javelins to execute daring and highly effective swoop-attacks.
