Scurry! A Game That Gathers Speed (Third Edition) RPG

Welcome to Scurry

A hectic heisting roleplaying game where you walk in the paws of crafty beasts out for a big score.

One player takes on the role of the Scurry Master, while the others play the Beasts, pulling off a fast-paced heist called a Scurry.

How It Works

• The Beasts face obstacles throughout their adventure.
• The group’s stamina is tracked by the Scurry Dice, which start as D12s and are shared by all Beasts.
• When the Beasts push their luck, the Scurry Master calls for a roll:

• • Max – Critical Success: The Beasts do better than expected, regaining stamina.

  • 4+ – Success: They succeed and avoid danger.

  • 2–3 – Complication: They pull through, but not quite as intended.

  • 1 – Hijinx: Something goes hilariously wrong, and chaos follows.

The Scurry Master marks Progress on a clock whenever Something Bad happens - hesitation, capture, or jeopardizing the heist.

The Tension

• When too much goes wrong, the Scurry Dice shrink: from D12 → D10 → D8...
• Smaller dice make success harder, chaos more common, and the clock fills up faster.

• Every Scurry becomes a hectic dash for the finish line!

The Ending

• If the Beasts succeed, the size of the Scurry Dice at the end determines their epilogue - the bigger the dice, the better the ending.

• But if the Stress Dice ever drop from D4 to D0, Something Awful happens! Everyone joins in to escalate the collapse because the worse it gets, the more fun for everyone.
