An unusual, complex, yet tightly balanced board and card game for two players from the prolific Reiner Knizia. The original title, “Auf der Reeperbahn…”, alludes to a popular German movie from 1954.

At the center of a 17-space track, six game figures begin their journey as players compete to attract them to their respective ends of the board. On your turn, you may play as many cards of the same color as you wish, with most movement determined directly by card play - for example, playing a red 4 brings the red figure (“Rote Lola” or “Dancing Deb”) four spaces closer to your end of the board.

However, there are special tricks and restrictions that must be learned before the true depth of the game reveals itself. The central green figure (“Brilli-Lilli” or “Saucy Sue”) - who wins for you if she ends on your half of the board - can only move within the bounds of her ‘bodyguards,’ two grey figures. The yellow figure (“Blonde Hans” or “Handsome Hal”) can summon any of these three figures to his square without a card. The companion green figure (“Schampus-Charly” or “Champagne Charlie”) - another potential game-winner - moves only toward you if both bodyguards are on your side or other figures occupy your nightclub spaces at the end of your turn.

Part of the Iello Two-Player Series, this is a game of attack and counterattack, defense and clever foresight, where every move counts. Games last about 10–20 minutes and can end as early as the first few turns or with the final card in the second pass through the deck - making it a challenge that demands an immediate rematch.
